Friends of Historic Champoeg (FHC) is an educational nonprofit based at Champoeg State Heritage Area by Champoeg State Park. The FHC promotes and interprets the cultural and natural history of Champoeg and Oregon thereby enhancing a significant heritage resource for the people of Oregon.

Summer (June-September): 9 am to 5 pm Fall/Winter (October-February): 11 am to 4 pm Spring (March-May): 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
The Champoeg Promise program is an award winning field trip program for grades 1-8.
Students are led by costumed educators through this hands-on, interactive, interdisciplinary program where they explore Champoeg’s multicultural history, government, and archaeological research on the site.
The Champoeg Store is a major source of income for the Friends of Historic Champoeg (FHC). All sales of goods, including Oregon State Parks annual day-use passes (click here) benefit FHC and go directly towards supporting our programs! Don’t forget the free coffee served everyday!
The Champoeg Store is located inside the Visitor Center, therefore the hours are the same:
